A Birthday Card from Asgard
My third Avengers card. This one was a personal one for a friend who, like me, is a fan of Loki (he just needs a hug!)
In the same style as my Ironman card and Thor card, I created a paper pieced image, this time using the image from one of the posters for the new film. Detail was added with black pen and is set on a green card blank, finished with a birthday sentiment.
I always struggle with faces, which is why, you may have noticed, that I leave them out most of the time. I can't remember my reasons to drawing it in this time and I don't think it looks too bad. My friend went all fan girl over it when she got it so mission accomplished in my books!
3 down, 5(?) to go!

CAS-ual Fridays

This will be my first post of two today as I am starting my card making Olympics - one sport themed card a day for the duration of the Olympic games.
Anyway. Today's challenge was to use navy, aqua and green on my card. To begin with I wasn't sure exactly what I was going to do but after looking through my chipboard box, I found the perfect embellishments.
I used some transparent shapes and navy paper to finish. The butterflies are raised on foam pads. I also decided to decorate the envelope to match by adding a strip of the same paper to one side.
Considering that before I sat at my desk, I had no idea what to do for this card, I am really pleased with the results. I hope you like it too!
